Gabriel Bump, author of Everywhere You Don?t Belong: A Novel. Gabriel is the 2020 winner of the Ernest J. Gaines Award for Literary Excellence in fiction by African American authors. The novel is set in the South Side of Chicago and tells the story of the coming-of-age of Claude McKay Love.

The Hyde Park Book Club is jointly sponsored by the Hyde Park Historical Society and Chicago Hyde Park Village. All are welcome.
