Hyde Park Community Players" July Staged Reading
The Exception and the Rule, by Bertolt Brecht
Directed by Paul Baker, this one-act "Lehrstück" (learning play) confronts a deplorable aspect of black-white relations.
If you're appalled by the current climate of "stand your ground," "open carry" and "concealed carry" laws [for whites only], you'll be shocked at how a play Brecht wrote in 1929 seems like it must have been written yesterday.
As at each of our monthly readings, the reading will be followed by refreshments and a time for discussion of the play., Admission $5 at the door.
