la petite folie | an idiomatic phrase for a little extravagance located in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago, is modest but loving tribute to the classic food and wines of France. The kitchen at la petite folie (opened in June 1999) is led by acclaimed Chef and owner Mary Mastricola.

This Dining Out Meet-up is open to CHPV Members, non-members, friends, and/or relatives — share a meal, engage in good conversation, and meet new folks

Three Course Prix Fixé Dinner Menu* — $54.50 includes three courses, tax and gratuity
first course – appetizer (choice of)
- mixed greens | veggies, goat cheese; herbed mustard vinaigrette
- alsatian onion tart with gruyere cheese
- soup du jour
second course – main entrée (choice of)
- pan-seared filet of fresh Atlantic salmon | roasted baby potatoes, and sauté of green beans, peas & mushrooms in light chive cream sauce
- basque chicken | with chorizo, peppers spiced tomatoes, black olives over saffron rice
- steak au poivre | pepper crusted, herbed sauce with green beans and yukon gold potato puree
- roasted autumn squashes |
third course – dessert (choice of)
- classic apple tart | with french vanilla ice cream
- belgian chocolate torte | flourless with chantilly cream and fresh raspberries
- roasted pineapple | with fruit and pink guava sorbet

Paid by diner at the end of the dinner
Additional non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages will be added to the overall total bill for the evening, to be paid by CHPV (via Terry Stumpf)
Each diner will track their own beverages tab, complete a form totaled with tax and 18% gratuity added, then pay by cash to/or Barbara Norrish and Terry Stumpf will circulate to accept charge with a credit card via Square after dessert is served
