This Dining Out Meet-up is open to all Chicago Hyde Park Village members, non-members, friends, and/or relatives. Come and share a meal, engage in good conversation, and meet new folks. This is an excellent opportunity to explore and patronize Hyde Park restaurants. Recent restaurants visited include: la petit folie, Ascione Italian Bistro, and the Promontory.

- First Tuesday Dinner Salon
Our Round Table meal and conversation awaits - bring a friend, yourself, an appetite, smiles, and good stories. This is an informal "no host" gathering and conversation centers on life in Hyde Park, travel experiences, upcoming events, and/or politics.
Chicago Hyde Park Village members join their friends and make new ones while enjoying an engaging program. The day starts with an exercise class, bridge and/or a socializing. A dedicated group of volunteers prepares lunch, which is shared by everyone prior to a participating in a program (topics vary).
Several times each year, the Chicago Hyde Park Village plans fun and adventurous outings. Recent outings include the Holocaust Museum, the Little Red Schoolhouse, and the Smart Museum.
Bring your burning tech questions and have them answered by tech savvy UChicago students. The sessions begin with a brief presentation followed by individual troubleshooting. Make sure to bring along your electronic device!
Yoga For Balance
These yoga sessions incorporate gentle stretching, breath work, modified yoga poses and relaxation. Come breathe, relax, move, and have fun with your friends and neighbors at the Chicago Hyde Park Village! Classes improve strength and balance and take place either on a floor mat or chair. No prior experience is necessary.

Artful Aging @ Hyde Park Art Center
This free workshop is designed to provide participants ages 65+ an opportunity to engage in an art making activity. All workshop materials provided by the Hyde Park Art Center!
Hyde Park Book Club
Are you an avid reader? Do you enjoy talking with others about the books that you are reading? Then the Hyde Park Book Club is the group for you! Recent topics include: Lee Bey, Southern Exposure: The Overlooked Architecture of Chicago’s South Side; Bea Lumpkin, Always Bring a Crowd and Joy in the Struggle and Pam Toler, Women Warriors: An Unexpected History. Guest speakers often include authors or experts in the field related to the title.
Mindfulness Awareness Meditation Group
When we meditate, we inject far-reaching and long-lasting benefits into our lives: We lower our stress levels, we get to know our pain, we connect better, we improve our focus, and we're kinder to ourselves. The group meets every Tuesday at Montgomery Place.
