IN THE COMMUNITY

Join the South Loop Quintet for an afternoon featuring two captivating works, including a pillar of the chamber music repertoire. Written in one of his most inspired periods, Mozart’s String Quintet in C Major pushes the boundaries of the form with an unusually expansive opening movement and an irregularly phrased minuet. Antonín Dvořák’s masterful and folk-inspired American Quintet — brimming with vibrant melodies and rhythmic vitality — reflects Dvořák’s deep appreciation for the cultural tapestry of America and showcases the composer’s seamless blend of diverse musical influences.

This event is free to attend and will include a continental breakfast and light lunch fair.
The Release the Silence conference is designed to help our community navigate the Alzheimer's and dementia journey. It is geared towards caregivers, future caregivers, and healthcare professionals who are looking for resources and support in the Black and African American community. During the conference, attendees will get to hear firsthand from experienced caregivers, learn about resources available to help with caring for a loved one, and have the opportunity to make connections with others for support.
