Enjoy lunch (with friends) before the film at the Art Center's Almendro Cafe, offering many yummy Mexican-themed delights, and/or meet there afterwards for an informal film discussion.

— Screening begins; the 1974 second Godfather film, considered by many to be the best of the trilogy

Our sincere thanks to the Hyde Park Art Center for generously providing the space for this series. Many of the films we screen are graciously provided from the library of CHPV member Caecilia Hubbard.

This program is free of charge. The HP Arts Center is happy to host rent-free. We will, however, put out a pot for free-will donations to cover light refreshments and an occasional film rental. We welcome film suggestions and requests for future events.  See you at the movies!

Getting There:

Parking at Hyde Park Art Center is extremely limited and street parking is scarce. Please consider carpooling or making transportation arrangements other than driving.
CHPV Members may also request transportation. Requests are due by 4pm on the Friday prior to the event. Call 773-363-1933 or email

• The safety of our community members is of utmost importance.
• If you are experiencing Covid-19, flu, or cold symptoms and/or are not feeling well, please refrain from participating in CHPV in-person activities. Please contact us if you are compelled to cancel due to illness and wish to receive a full refund.

• CHPV strongly recommends wearing a face mask when not actively eating or drinking.

• CHPV strongly encourages all persons attending in-person events to be current with their COVID-19 and flu vaccinations according to CDC guidelines. If your vaccinations are up-to-date, please complete the CHPV COVID-19 & Flu Vaccination Record.
